ABOUT
Barnabooth.com pays homage to the fictional character A.O. Barnabooth, the creation of French writer Valery Larbaud. South American-born Barnabooth, an indefatigable traveller and polyglot and allegedly the richest man in the world, perpetually trots the globe in the age of the Pullman and the ocean liner, in quest of rare aesthetic sensations. Replace these lavish cosmopolitan meanderings with my own modest mental cartography and you have what Barnabooth.com is all about: the jottings, musings, tall tales and graphic diversions of one so-called individual with a short attention span who wouldn’t want to belong to any club that would have him.
Froth on the Daydream is the quotidian bubble and squeak thrown up by the hum and drum of life, the press, the internet.
Inverted Commas borrows the words of others to liven up the party.
Slim Pretexts is a heterogeneous medley of short tales, sketches and poems with no real common denominator apart from giving short shrift to “([{‘reality’}])”.
Stamp Album collects the graphic production of my altered ego, failed Tasmanian artist Victor Stamp.
